Articles on Action sharp and motion blur

This past week I have learned how to capture action and movement photos with one being sharp and the other being blurred. Both are mostly used for taking photos of sports but can be used for other photos of any type of action. The two shots are called action sharp and motion blur when using action sharp the photo comes out sharp and clear no matter how much the subject is moving and for motion blur the movement is shown in a blur while everything else that doesn’t move around it is still.

The first shot is motion blur, for motion blur you are going to want a slow shutter speed depending on how fast your subject is moving. The next thing you want to do is stabilize your camera so you would have to use a tripod or some other steady object. You also need to use a small aperture and ISO so then less light will hit the sensor and your exposer won’t be to expose. You also can use the shutter priority mode so then you will have your aperture set but you set the shutter speed.

The next shot is action shot, for an action sharp shot you will need a high shutter speed anything 1/250th of a second and higher will work. You then will need a low aperture like f/3.5 or lower will help you have a narrow depth-of-field, so your subject stands out. You also can use the auto focus mode so then your subject is automatically in focus.
